STRENGTHENING ECOSYSTEM

We have established a Biodiversity Policy to guide our efforts in protecting and enhancing ecosystems around our plants. Each year we go beyond our commitment and surpass our targets to 10,000 plant saplings. Our biodiversity initiatives are implemented through collaborative partnerships with farmers, local communities, self-help groups and non-governmental organisations, supporting ecosystem restoration and long‑term environmental stewardship.

During FY 2026, we planted 50,603 saplings with a survival rate exceeding 90% across the plant premises and mines area. The plantation programme included a mix of native, fruit and flowering species such as Mango, Neem, Gulmohar, Syzygium cumini, Jackfruit, Bougainvillea, Tabebuia rosea, Jacaranda, Mahogany and Spathodea. These initiatives contribute to strengthening local biodiversity and restoring natural ecosystems around our operations.
